No they didn't

We were reading our online version of the Saturday Osceola News-Gazette and turned to Page 5, where the City of Kissimmee had their full-page ad of upcoming community events. Our eyes quickly turned to the sign-up section for the School of Government. We couldn't help but notice that it appears that the city, in its creative wisdom, took the All-America City logo, and replaced the logo wording with "City of Kissimmee School of Government" and the city logo.

We wonder if it is All-America(n) to copy another organization's work without giving proper credit.

Please convince me that you are serious in this. You seem to be drastically stretching to look for "something" even if its not there.

I would assume that the Public Information Office does not have alot of time to create new logos for mundane public outreach programs like this. They have alot going on with producing TV shows for the City's TV station. I don't blame them for stealing an idea from someone else with all of the pressure they are under.

Drastically stretching to look for something even if it is not there??? That might actually be the definition of UN-news.

I thought this story was funny Wayne. Keep up the good work, and don't worry about those PIO people getting upset. Not sure the should be wasting time playing on the blogs at work.

The city has had this logo since 2000 around when they first started the SOG program. Even though it's similar, by no means is it the same. It was made before the city had "all-america fever!" try not to assume next time : )

To the person above who said that the city has used this logo since 2000 when they started SOG - I was in SOG and have never seen it used before this.
