Equal Time

We opened our Sunday Orlando Sentinel to find a 8.5" x 13" Spotlight article on perpetual candidate/activist Armando Ramirez, complete with a 5.5" x 9" statesman-like photo. Since the Sentinel, in the article, acknowledged that Mr. Ramirez "is again running for office," we're looking forward to a weekly Spotlight article on all of the candidates running in Osceola County. That should fill up the Sunday paper up to, or perhaps beyond, this year's elections.

They only focus on a few fringe candidates. They never take a good look at those who could make a real difference in our lives. The also never ask the hard questions of the candidates. The Sentinel's coverage of our local elections is a joke. Stick to the blogs, you will learn more!

I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn't have a problem if Armando was not running for office. The Sentinel can write any article they want. It is their paper. But I do think it is a conflict of interest when choose to give one candidate exceptional coverage over another, but I guess that's the way America works. If we had fair coverage, Duncan Hunter would be President.

Speaking of coverage... Did you see the Letter to the Editor in the Adzette yesterday from Johnathan Harrel who is running against Bill Lane in the County? Great letter on ethics and campaign finance. I hope he can really win this time because you don't see too many politicians with the heart and drive like he has. We could have really used him here in St. Cloud, but I guess we will get the best of both worlds if he can represent us at the county level. If you have not read his letter, you need to. It somes up everything this years campaign will be about.

Harrell vs. Lane ought to be a great match-up! For a young man Harrell know what he is talking about and does not back down from the good'ole boys. He showed that when he stood up to Wade Davis and made him look stupid at the St Cloud debate last year.

Who else is in that race?

Judy Robertson and Fred Hawkins. They are both bought and paid for candidates.

I went to Republican Women's debate Thursday evening. Fred Hawkins and Tony Ferentinos kicked butt.
It seems that Van Meter and Mckinnon are still using the same old rhetoric with no possible solutions. Building parks according to Van Meter will keep gangs in check in Poinciana. McKinnon also agreed with this. The other unknown Bjorkland is a total joke he just goes with the flow. Oh yeah, He made millions of dollars for Disney. Super management person. God help us!
I'm praying thaat the people of Osceola County go for the right people. Hopefully for the two I've mentioned. The change is definetly needed.

I do not like Fred Hawkins because of his ties to Omni Waste. I think he is a corporate insider. I really don't like Ferentinos either, but I guess he is better than the alternatives. They have had their chance at the City of Kissimmee and have failed miserably. So I know I do not want them. I guess I will give Ferentinos a chance.

Van Meter and McKinnon have a failed record as present and former City Commisioners. Their record speaks for itself. There's nothing to hide with them. More taxes and more talking in circles.
I would welcome a change and a fresh start. I knew very little about Ferentinos other than the garbage they were trying to get him with. After listening to him last week, I like him a lot. If he accomplishes 10% of what he wants to do, this County is in for a real good Commisioner. My vote and my families vote in Dist. 3 goes to him. BRAVO to you sir!

I know personally that JUDY ROBERTSON (Robertson Homes)Owes a lot of sub contractors money in the central florida area including myself. Invoices 3 or more months past due. Not hundreds of dollars but thousands. If she cant manage her own business, What makes her think she is qualified for a county seat. Its crazy!!!!!!!!!!

Your not the only person that says they are owed money from Judy Robertson. I here that from alot of subs in Saint Cloud. Its not a very big town. They are running their name right into the ground.
