We have received so many great comments over the past week and a half. For the sake of time, we are only going to list a few, but encourage you to read all of them on the blog.
Let's focus on the comments about "Kissimmee Puppet Commission Theatre – School Board Strikes Back" (we've edited the comments for length, feel free to read all of the comments directly under the "Theatre" entry)....
- It is all Empire building. And the taxpayers pay for it all.
- I would say the school board is the "Dark Side".
- Lord Chalifoux couldn't have been a better match.
- The School Board is now saying that Osceola County is filled with crime and that is why they need a special place for their teachers to live.
Response: We are in total agreement. We have been receiving emails regarding the “Projects” in St. Cloud and will post more about it as we dig up the facts.
- Rumor in the downtown is that WFTV is asking questions about the newest puppet video.
- YOU MADE THE NEWS! PUPPETS MADE THE NEWS!
- Channel 9!!! You made it on Channel 9!!! Awesome....
- How about a puppet show about our friends in Tallahassee and the "big" tax cut?
Response: Imagine our surprise when the grandkids came running in to tell us their puppets were on TV. We hurried out to see what they were talking about when we caught Kissimmee Puppet Commission Theatre on Eyewitness News. To say the least, we were a little shocked by the coverage, and by the excellent report that they did. All we can say is that the best of the Kissimmee Puppet Commission Theatre is still to come, so don't miss out on Monday's property tax episode. And yes, we are making sure the grandkids are brushing those teeth after every popsicle stick parody puppet is created.

I can not believe that what George Gant said. Do these guys really think that the rest of us are that stupid? Do they really think they are that much better than everyone else? I just don't think that winning an election makes you smarter than the next person. How rude can these people be?
WHY IS GANT ON THIS COMMITTEE? HE HAS BEEN ACCUSED OF A SEX CRIME AND GEMSKIE AND VAN METER BOTH BEIEVE THAT BOARDS AND COMMITTEE PERSONS ARE HELD TO A HIGHER STANDARD. ANOTHER COMMITTEE MEMBER WAS CONVICTED OF BATTERY. WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR SO CALLED LEADERS?
That is exactly how they think. Gant (the mouthpiece of the "good ole boys that gave it all away") was struggling with an "appropriate" way to say the people can't handle the government they created. In layman's terms "The people are too stupid." It really is amazing
how un-American these guys really are. We the people put together the Declaration of Independence, we created the Constitution, we have managed to put together a republic that used to be of, by and for the people and we have fought hard and died for all of it. And now we're too stupid to understand it. How unfortunate that these "good ole boys that gave it all away" think the citizens are stupid. I'll tell ya what, if we have been stupid, it would have to be for putting them all in office. But there is a saying that says "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice shame on me." We won't be that stupid again! I promise you that.
I think you have a great sense of humor and political sharpness. If we can't laugh at ourselves we take ourselves too seriously. Who ever you are keep up the real comments and don't get all puffed up with your success.
So I decided to read the News Gazette today because I figured I would get some real news instead of 'blog' news for a change. I found ONE article that is relevant. Just ONE. 'City denies firefighters contract request'. Out of all the articles they have, this article is really the only one that is an issue right now because it shows how the lost this commission really is.
As I read further into the paper, I could find nothing on government housing being forced on people in St. Cloud, nothing on the Sports Authority Alternative School, nothing on the increase in violent crimes in the area. What did I find, a front page article on what awards that the Gazette won for their great paper.
I think I will stick with the blogs.
How the heck to Osceola County approve moving forward with Government $ubsidized Housing in St. Cloud? Bill Lane was at the meeting, he saw the residents reaction to this. And public meeting???? What public meeting?? I never saw it advertised?? Just another way to pull a fast one on the people and then say, we had public meetings, and no body was interested in this. These puppets will do what every the developer with his hand up their backside wants. Speaking of backsides, don't forget old Smith in this whole thing.
I highly doubt you can make this property tax issue funny. Besides just making most people angry, taxes do not usually make for a good story. I guess we will have to see how funny the new puppet show is.
