A special message to Evergreen Consultants

You're under the bus now, and the back wheels are approaching rapidly. Whether you got there on your own, or were thrown there isn't going to be relevant much longer. So you know what to do. The most senior person possible needs to deliver a detailed report with significant "thud factor"* to the city post-haste (we would say by Monday at the latest). Because you know what's coming in the next sentence...

We just have to ask the city: a contract project was allowed to go five months overdue? And that project's delivery is a key factor when negotiating with a public safety employee union? How much of a discount did you negotiate into the contract for late delivery?

* "Thud factor" refers to the weight/size of the project report...how big of a "thud" it makes when it hits the client's desk or conference table.

Sounds like the school board and their consultants. What is it with consultants running all our local governments. We are apparently "consultant dependent" in Osceola. Why can't anyone make a decision without a consultant around here? Are we electing bobbleheads or brains? And why do they let these consultants commit breach of contract at the taxpayers' expense? I think it's time for a regime change.

So people at the fire department get denied and the arguement from City Commissioners is that they are broke. I would like to know what money have they lost, if any, as of right now? Also, with their additional storm water fee and FIRE fee, have they not actually made up what they are going to be short? Does the city even have a budget yet to make these kind of decisions? None of this sounds good.

yes, if ever there was a true puppet show, it was shameful the way the city commission treated that whole meeting with the fireman. the one guy got up there and discussed the evergreen consultants how the firemen did not get to be a part of the study and they ignored it. it was embarrassing as a Kissimmee citizen to see when Commissioner Irazary asked why the firemen did not get to participate, the lawyer, city manager and the one lady huddle for about 5 minutes and then he still never directly answered the question. The one guy also said something about the city manager and attorney getting something like $500,000 benefit and he was never asked about that or challenged...so it makes one wonder. Any way shame, shame, shame on the puppets. It was clear they had their minds programmed as how to think and what to say. It was Mr. Smallwood what do we do next, Mr. Smallwood can we go to the bathroom.

Isn't that what always happens with this commission, they throw people under the bus. Police, Fire, Consultants, Citizens, or anyone else they deal with get run over. Unless you are the school board or Osceola County government, then we will do what ever you want.

Ok, so I have been trying to figure out all day how Wayne Who is going to make fun of the property tax issue? In your comment corner post you elude to the fact that is the topic for your new Puppet Commission Theatre, so I think I am safe there. We have been talking about it at the shop, and we don't see to many ways to make it funny. We will be watching and waiting.

You haven't posted in a couple of days! I hope you are not adopting the Osceola News Gazette schedule.
