A Republican and a Democrat were walking down the street when they came to a homeless person. The Republican gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his business for a job. He then took twenty dollars out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.
The Democrat was very impressed, and when they came to another homeless person, he decided to help. He walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office. He then reached into the Republican's pocket and gave the homeless person fifty dollars.
Now you understand the difference between Republicans and Democrats.

The joke is not accurate to what happens here. Democrates can't figure out where the pockets are, and the republicans have already emptied everyones pockets anyway. Don't worry though, both sides are able to work together to give you a tax-cut neutral fee hike reduction that will keep you working two jobs right through your golden years.
Wait a minute..I thought it was "Tax and Spend Democrats"? Apparently in Osceola County the "Tax and Spend Republicans" are in control. If this is the best the Republican Party can march out then I am willing to try the "Tax and Spend Democrats" for a while. It just seems that the working folks do better with the Democrats. The Republicans are too busy trying to tear apart the Kissimmee Lakefront and slice it up among their Developer buddies to really give a #### about the people that put them into office.
Don't forget about "Tax and Spend Republicans" wanting to build their fancy little train. That the people paying the tax will never be able to ride. Sounds more like a business professional or corporate welfare system to me. I will be changing my party to Independent after 49 years of being a Republican.
The Republican Party is not marching out the best candidates. The good ole boy system has hijacked the Republican Party as the best instrument for control of the county.

First I agree with a lot of the comments here. i have long said the Rep. on the commission are a far cry from real Rep. As a true Rep. it is our job as elected officials to cut spending, reduce the size of gov. and lower taxes. No Rep. are doing that these days.
Second, there is nothing good ole boy about it. The powers to be in Osceola (Rep and Dem. alike) believe we have to keep up with Orange county to be somebody.
They do not believe we can stand on our own. So they have drunk the Metroplan cool aide and are railroading our county in the name of regionalism.
Next they will trash our form of government and crown one of themselves king of the county like Crotty in Orange county.
